About the event
This event is organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in New York, Lithuanian American Community – New York District, Lithuanian Community of New York, Maironis Lithuanian School of New York, Lithuanian Athletes’ Club of New York, Neringa and Tauras Scout Troops, Church of the Annunciation, New York Lithuanian Professionals Club (NYLP), Lithuanian Alliance of America (SLA), Tautos Fondas, New York Lithuanian Amateur Theater, and other organizations and representatives. As a family-friendly event, the Freedom Run warmly welcomes children, youth, and adults to take part in this tradition together!
After the run, participants and their cheering teams are invited to a picnic in the park (please bring snacks for yourself and a friend; water will be provided by the organizers).
We will also celebrate the start of the school year of Maironis Lithuanian School of New York, play sports, spend time together, and have fun!
