Freedom Run and Picnick 2024

Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in New York invites you to the biggest annual event of the Lithuanian community and organizations uniting Lithuanians in New York - 'Freedom Run and Picnic 2024'!

⏰   DATE: September 14 (Saturday) 2024, 12:00 p.m. 

 📍     LOCATION: McCarren Park, Brooklyn, NY (exact meeting location will be announced closer to the event).

Freedom Run will consist of three parts: 

1. 5 km run for professionals (5 km for Lithuania, see more https://www.5uzlietuva.com/ - the most active will be able to register personal results) 

2. Lap of honor (easy running or walking); 

3. Support teams with flags and water.

After the run, a picnic will be waiting for all participants and their support teams in the park (we would kindly ask you to provide snacks for yourself and a friend; water will be provided by the event organizers).

Together, we will celebrate the opening of the school year at Maironis Lithuanian School in New York, we will exercise, chat and have a good time!

Medals will be awarded to young participants, and event t-shirts to all participants and registrants (suggested donation is $5 cash, collected on site).

The sponsors of the event are the Lithuanian community in the USA.
