Juneta Krylovaitė's 20 Bridges Swim Around Manhattan

This Sunday, July 12, Lithuanian open water swimmer Juneta Krylovaitė will take on the prestigious 20 Bridges Swim around Manhattan—a 48.5 km (30-mile) challenge that is part of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and Oceans Seven, achieved by only a small number of swimmers worldwide.

This year's swim is dedicated to 16-year-old Adrian, a former swimmer who is fighting to save his leg after a devastating accident. In partnership with the Rimantas Kaukėnas Foundation, Juneta hopes to raise awareness and support for Adrian's treatment and rehabilitation.

See-off schedule

  • 5:00 PM – Meet at Pier 25

  • 5:30 PM – Boat departs for the start

  • 6:15 PM – Swim begins from Pier A

If you're in New York, stop by Pier 25 to wish Juneta good luck before she begins her overnight swim around Manhattan.

Let's cheer on Juneta as she represents Lithuania in one of the world's most demanding open-water swimming challenges.

Support Our Member Viktorija Mickutė & split/decision

We're proud to spotlight our friend and longtime NYLP member Viktorija Mickutė—a Lithuanian-born, three-time Emmy-nominated producer, director, and documentary filmmaker based in New York who is co-leading split/decision, an independent New York producing company dedicated to bringing bold new voices to the stage.

Many of you know Viktorija through her continued support of Lithuanian—and many other—cultural and social initiatives in the United States, including the North American Lithuanian Business Forum, Ukraine fundraising efforts at the Consulate General of Lithuania in New York, or the Ukrainian Cultural Festival, to name just a few.

This fall, her company split/decision will present the World Premieres of Safe House at Theatre Row and Re/Memoria at The Tank, two of New York's leading Off-Broadway venues, and currently raising funds to bring these productions to life. For the next four days, every donation will be matched—doubling your impact.

Your voice can help build a stronger Tautos Fondas

For many years, Tautos Fondas — whose board members include several active NYLP Club members — has worked alongside its donors, members, and partners to support hundreds of initiatives that strengthen education, civic engagement, and democracy in Lithuania. Every scholarship awarded and every project funded begins with people who believe in Lithuania's future.

The foundation is now inviting members of the broader Lithuanian community—including the NYLP Club network—to share their perspectives through a short 5–10 minute anonymous survey.

Your feedback will help Tautos Fondas:

  • Better understand the needs and expectations of the community.

  • Improve its programs and the value it creates.

  • Share more meaningful stories about the impact of its work in Lithuania.

  • Build more open, engaging, and effective communication with supporters and the wider community.

Whether you're already familiar with Tautos Fondas or learning about it for the first time, your perspective is valuable.

Click here to complete the survey and help shape the future of Tautos Fondas.

Help Us Build an Even Stronger Community

The continued growth of NYLP is only possible because of your participation, ideas, and support.

We encourage you to continue attending our events, invite fellow Lithuanian professionals, and, if you haven't already, become an official NYLP member. Official membership helps us communicate more effectively, strengthen our network, and create meaningful opportunities for Lithuanian professionals in New York.

As our community continues to grow, we would also like NYLP to become a platform where members can share opportunities with one another. If you know of an interesting event, job opening, professional opportunity, conference, training program, investment opportunity, or another initiative that could benefit our community, we'd be delighted to help spread the word.

Do you have an idea for a Social Hour, a speaker, a panel discussion, a networking event, or another initiative you'd like to see? We'd love to hear from you.

And one more thing—please don't be humble.

If you've reached a personal or professional milestone, started a new job or business, launched a project, received an award, published a book or article, or achieved something you're proud of, we'd love to celebrate it with you.

Share your news with us! Let your fellow NYLP members know what you've been working on, and allow us to celebrate your achievements. Your success inspires others, strengthens our community, and reminds us of the incredible talent within our network.

We're proud of what our members accomplish—and we'd love the opportunity to be proud of you, too.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us at sondra.litvaityte@gmail.com and missaurataylor@gmail.com.

We would be happy to discuss your ideas and share your news with our NYLP members and the broader Global Lithuanian community.

Together, let's continue building a vibrant, supportive, and engaged Lithuanian professional network.
