The New York Lithuanian Professionals had the privilege of gathering on the 39th floor of the iconic One World Trade Center for an insightful event dedicated to financial literacy and long-term wealth strategies.
This Talk & Networking Event, Savings & Investing: Financial Strategies, was part of our new initiative, “Take Us to Your Professional Environment,” where members open the doors of their workplaces to the community. This time, our new member, Jamie Gustas, embraced the idea and invited us into the New York Life Insurance Company, one of the most respected institutions in the field of financial services.
Together with her colleague Inez Aznar, Jamie prepared a dynamic presentation that combined professional expertise with a passion for education. Inez guided us through practical strategies for saving, investing, and wealth management, highlighting how small, informed steps can build a foundation for long-term financial wellness. Her openness and enthusiasm transformed what is often seen as a complex or intimidating subject into an engaging conversation — one that sparked many thoughtful questions from our members.
We are deeply grateful to Jamie and Inez for their dedication in preparing and delivering such a relevant program. Our thanks also go to the New York Life team for welcoming us so warmly. A special acknowledgment goes to Managing Partner Dominick Kortkamp and Senior Partner Kevin Yang, whose generosity and support helped make the reception possible and created the perfect atmosphere for meaningful conversations
.
Events like this remind us why the New York Lithuanian Professionals community exists: to support each other, to exchange knowledge, and to celebrate the diverse expertise within our group. Financial literacy is not just about numbers — it’s about planning for the future, making confident decisions, and investing in the life we want to build.
We believe that these discussions, grounded in real-world knowledge, are what strengthen our network and help us grow together — both personally and professionally.
We look forward to many more gatherings that connect us with each other and with the incredible city we call home.
