The New York Lithuanian Professionals Club (NYLP) continued its Startup Spotlight series with an inspiring evening that showed how global ideas can grow from everyday experiences. The event featured Indre Viltrakyte, co-founder of Tingit, a global repair platform with a vision rooted in sustainability.

Who would have imagined that a broken shoelace could spark the creation of a business that now connects people with specialists able to repair even a €13,000 Hermès bag? Indrė’s story demonstrated how the simple idea of offering high-quality repair services can evolve into a platform that encourages us all to own less, repair more, and consume more thoughtfully.

The NYLP community was deeply inspired by her journey and by the future potential of Tingit, and we look forward to seeing the platform expand into the U.S. market.

It’s remarkable to see how the desire to offer a high-quality service can grow into a business rooted in sustainability—giving items a second life and encouraging us all to own less, repair more, and consume more thoughtfully.

A heartfelt thank you to Dovile Meliauskaite, Commercial Attaché of the Republic of Lithuania in New York, for bringing Indre to meet the New York Lithuanian Professionals.

And our most sincere thanks go to the Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania, Dovydas Špokauskas, and his entire team for hosting the event and for being so open to partnering with the NYLP Club.
